Ron Manyita is a local Katherine resident who paints in his traditional art style of rarrk. He paints with reeds, rather than paint brushes, and collects them himself from the river bank. His lines are fine, neat and straight. He paints traditional figures such as the Lightning Man that was taught to him by his grandfather, as well as local birds, fish and other animals.
