Run by a father-daughter duo, ‘Contemplations’ took over from the previously established ‘Gallop-Thru-Time’ framing shop in Katherine in 2021 and aims to provide top-quality framing to the town and surrounds, as well as a variety of giftware, art and local crafts.

Established in 2021, Contemplations aims to support local art and artists by providing space and a platform for people to promote and sell their creations. We also do professional custom framing, and love a good challenge - we’ll try and frame anything you can imagine. Probably. We draw the line at spaghetti bolognaise.

As well as framing and art, we also have a range of giftware, cards and jewelry for sale, perfect for gifts and mementos. Going away presents, birthdays, treating yourself because you can - come in and have a look at our wonderful range and find something that fits your special occasion.

Tricia Spafford

Professional framer by day and Pokemon enthusiast by… well, all the time, really, Tricia runs the framing side of the business. If you want something mounted and framed for display, she’s the one to help you out, and she loves a good challenge. (I mean, maybe if the bolognaise was in a bowl…?) She’s got a PhD in medical research, she writes, draws and self-publishes her own comic series, and she also dabbles in casting things in resin in her spare time. She is always happy to help you find the perfect frame for that special piece.
